About the Author
We Share When We Sleep was written by a psychology student while creating a rehabilitation program for at-risk juveniles and volunteering abroad. The author, Jason Smith, while working with a non-profit organization assisting homeless youth, recognized a need for a solution to the obstacles facing at-risk, homeless, and father-less youth. Jason sold everything he owned and embarked on what transformed into a two year research and development journey beginning with a prolonged stay in India. During this time he realized the effects of time away from his two young boys. He felt the need for them to understand the time away was not a negative experience, however a combined sacrifice of time and attention for the positive development of other individuals. This book is dedicated to children of military families who have made the same sacrifices so we can all be safe and free.
